West Lafayette In. Feb. 7, 1922

The Public Library Board met in the office of the High School building.

The meeting was called to order by the President with the following members present.

Everett B. Vawter, Grace H. Price, Jacob B. Cunningham, Carolin Shoemaker, W. R. Smith, Mrs. McQueen, W. E. Downs.

Minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read.

Mr. Cunningham reported for the finance committee the following amounts as having been paid on subscriptions

Paid over to C. H. [Miners] Town Treasurer 400.00

Balance in bank and checks not deposited 122.38

All sums received are deposited in Purdue State Bank to the credit of J.B. Cunningham Trustee

Motion made and carried that the report be accepted and spread of record.

Motion made and carried that the Finance Committee send out letters to subscribers notifying them the third payment would be due March 1st 1922.

Mrs. McQueen reported having attended the Dist. Meeting of Librarians and trustees at Frankfort Ind. The report was quite interesting and given so in earnest that all members of the Board were quite enthused.

The President read a letter from Mr. Hamilton notifying the board of a district meeting to be held in the Public Library [Dowille J. ???] March 2nd and requesting that some one of the trustees and the Librarian attend this meeting. No action was taken further than the notice of the date and any one who could might attend.

Mr. Cunning [sic] reported for the committee on By-Laws and read the By-Laws proposed by the committee. After some discussion Mr. Smith made a motion that the by-laws be adopted as read. Motion seconded by Mrs. McQueen / carried,

Motion made and carried that Mr. Cunningham be directed to look to the matter of filing propoer papers with the county.
