The public library board met in the office of the high school with the following members present

Everett B. Vawter, Grace Price, Jacob B. Cunningham, W. R. Smith, Ethel B. McQueen, W. E. Downs

The president called the meeting to order

Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved as read.

Report of finance committee was as follows

Moneys received from subscriptions

Total read in May $25.00

Total read for June $114.58

Total read for June [sic – prolly July] 75.65

Total read for 3 months 215.22

Total read to may 1st 1095.11

Total subscriptions and donations to aug. 1st 1310.33

Paid out voucher #1-#2 stationary 30.25

Paid out vouchers 3, 5,6,7 postage and type writing 9.75

Paid out vouchers #4-8 [Droyage] books 2.75

Total amount paid out to date 42.75

Balance cash on hand and in bank $1267.58

Mr. Cunning [sic] reported for building committee that expected to get the up stairs of the town hall.

Book committee reported the following donations of books:

Mrs. Dr. stone 100 volumes

Mrs. Geo Jameson 125 volumes

Library commission one volume the Gardner

Mrs. Price read the historic record of the founding of the public library. Motion made and carried that the record be accepted and spread of record.

The following bills were allows

E. B. Vawter Droyage on books 75c

J.B. Cunningham postage abd letter writing 4.00

The book committee was request to make an estimated report for the amout required for books for one year
