|Town Hall – Feb. 7, 1923 – 1:30pm
According to previous arrangement the library Board met in special session for the purpose of interviewing Miss Mary Kent, an applicant for the position of librarian and to settle if possible the election of one executive officer for our Library. After the interview, it was moved, seconded, and carried that the Board ballot on Miss Kent for the office. The vote stood four against her and three for her.
The question of selecting some local person without training was then considered. Mrs. Eva Dickey's application was then given consideration and after some discussion, Mr. Cunningham moved that Mrs. Dickey be appointed librarian on trial at a salary of fifty dollars per mo. The motion was seconded and unanimously approved. The secretary was asked to notify Mrs. Dickey after election, and to communicate with the State Library Commission asking for considerable help to organize the library and get it ready for opening.
The Board adjourned
