| Public Library, West Lafayette, Ind – Apr. 3, 1923
The West Lafayette Public Library Board met in regular session with all members present. The secretary's report was read and approved. Mr. Cunningham reporting for the financial committee gave the following report: Money received for the W. Lafayette Public Library from Feb. 5, 1923 to Apr. 2, 1923 inclusive:
Total Sum received since last report – 198.93 Amount heretofore reported received to Feb. 5, 1923 – 1860.94 Amount heretofore sent over to the Town Treasury – 1600.00 Total amount received to date – 2059.87 Balance on depoist in Purdue State Bank – 459.87 J. B. Cunningham – Member – Finance Committee The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:

The magazine List was reported as made up and was left to the Book Committee for placement with some reliable agency. The construction of a magazine rack and newspaper rack was ordered after the proper design was received from the library commission. Mrs. Eva Dickey reported the need of sundry supplies for the library and she was authorized to get them. After some discussion, the date tentatively set for the opening of the library was about May 1. The Board authorized Mr. Cunningham to have constructed a juvenile table and bulletin board at the same time the racks were being made. A phone was ordered installed by May 1. Mrs. Dickey reported about the meeting of Librarians which she was authorized to attend at Lebanon, Ind., and expressed her appreciation of having the opportunity of coming in touch with the work of Librarians in other communities.
