|Public Library, West LaFayette, Ind – June 4, 1923.
The Library Board met in regular session with all members present except Miss Shoemaker.
The secretary's report was read and approved.
Mr. Cunningham for the financial committee gave the following financial report:
Subscriptions received for the West LaFayette Public Library from May 1 to June 4, 1923, inclusive:
Total received since last rep't – 14.92
Amount heretofore reported rec'd – 2085.72
Total am't rec'd to date – 2100.64
Town Treasurer – 2000.00
Balance on deposit in Purdue State Bank – 100.64
Signed J. B. Cunningham – Member of Finance Committee
The following bills and salaries were allowed and ordered paid:
Total – 329.95
The Librarian's was received and adopted and ordered filed. On motion the report was ordered published in the West LaFayette items in the Journal & Courier.
Mr. Cunningham reported that Mr. L.A. Sailors' subscription had been paid in full by labor.
The books donated to the Public Library by the School Board were reported by the secretary as being ready for delivery and he was instructed to deliver the same to the Library rooms. On motion the matter of a substitute for Mrs. Dickey, the librarian, while she is away attending the school for Librarians at Indianapolis was left in the hands of the President of the Board.
After some discussion as to the need of Juvenile books it was moved, seconded and passed that one hundred dollars worth of Juvenile books be purchased at once.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
