|Town Hall – Mar. 4, 1924
The West LaFayette Public Library Board met in regular session with J. B. Cunningham in the Chair.
The secretary's report was read and approved.
The House Committee reported that rubber treads for the stairway had been purchased at a cost of $6.00.
The Book Committee reported that the February order for books had been purchased.
After some discussion the Library Board by motion asked the Book Committee to meet regularly once a month to assist the Librarian to make out the book order. For the convenience of the Book Committee it was suggested that they meet just prior tot he meeting of the Library Board. The time of meeting of the committee, however, was left entirely to them. In the absence of a meeting of the Book Committee the Librarian was authorized to purchase the regular order of books.
By motion the Book committee was authorized to purchase $75.00 worth of books during the month of March.
It was moved, seconded & carried that the Book committee make out a book list by grades to be distributed among the school children to bring their attention to the books available for their use.
The Librarian's regular monthly report was received and ordered filed.
The Librarian gave the following report of the Contingent Fund under her control:
Balance Feb. 5, 1924 – 9.55
Fines during Feb – 4.02
Expenditures – 11.35
Balance Mar. 4, 1924 – 2.22
The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
Total – 187.53
There being no further business the Board adjourned.
