Town Hall – Apr. 1, 1924

The Library Board met in regular session with all memebers present except Mr. Vawter.

The meeting was called to order by the President, Mr. Cunningham, and the secretary's report was read and approved.

The following bills were read and ordered paid:

Mr. Cunningham reported that a check for $4.96 had been received from Mr. R. H. Shook, which completed his subscription to the Library.

The Book Committee reported that the magazine list was completed and had been ordered throughout A. J. DeLong. The Committee also reported the purchase of Compton's Picture Encyclopedias for the sum of fifty dollars.

Mr. Cunningham asked that the Board approve the appointing of an auditing committee to go over the books of the finance committee which had charge of the collection of the subscriptions paid for the Library. Such a committee was approved and Mr. Burtsfield and Mrs. McQueen were appointed to do this work.

The Librarian's report was received and ordered filed. The Librarian gave the following report of the contingent fund:

There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting adjourned.

This is to certify that we, the undersigned committee, appointed to audit the books of J. B. Cunningham, of the finance committee, having charge of the original subscriptions, and miscellaneous receipts of the Public Library of West LaFayette, Indiana, have carefully gone over his receipts and disbursements and have found them correct as reported and recorded in the minutes of the Library board.
