The Public Library board met in regular session with the following members present: J. B. Cunningham, Pres., Mrs. Ethel B. McQueen, Miss Caroline Shoemaker, W. R. Smith, E. B. Vawter, and F.A. Burtsfield, sec.

The secretary's report was read and approved.

The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:

Total – 154.10

The Librarian, Mrs. Dickey, reported that the roof needed repairing and the matter was reserved to the Committee on Buildings and Grounds of which E.B. Vawter is chairman.

The Librarian's monthly report was received and ordered filed.

The report of the Contingent Fund was as follows:

Balance Sept. 2, 1924 – 9.50

Fines during month – 4.40

Expenditures – 8.95

Balance Oct. 7, 1924 – 4.95

The Book Committee was authorized to make the usual expenditure of $75.00 for new books.

There being no further business the Board adjourned.
