| West LaFayette Public Library – Nov. 3, 1925
The Public Library Board met in regular session with the following members present: Mr. Cunningham, Miss Shoemaker, Mrs. McQueen, Mrs. Price, Mr. Vawter and Mr. Burtsfield. The secretary's report was read and approved. The following bills were received and ordered paid:
Total – 378.57 Mrs. Price reported the receipt of $40.00 Library donation from Mr. M. B. Morgan. Mrs. Dickey and Mrs. Price recommended the purchase of the Lincoln Library at the price of $18.00. The board concurred in their recommendation. The Librarian's report was received and ordered filed. The report of the contingent fund was as follows: Balance Oct. 6, 1925 – 9.75 Fines during Oct. - 7.49 Expenses during Oct. - 14.10 Balance, Nov. 3, 1925 – 3.14 Since the Library Board now owns the property in which the Library is housed the Librarian recommended that the sign in front be changed accordingly. The House Committee was authorized to make such change. The President requested the secretary to notify the West LaFayette School Board that the terms of office of the Public Library board of F. A. Burtsfield and Mrs. Ethel B. McQueen expire Dec. 3, 1925, also, to notify Judge Homer W. [Hennegar] that the term of office of Mr. E. B. Vawter expires Nov. 14, 1925.
