The West LaFayette Public Library Board met in regular session at the library with all members present.

The secretary's report was read and approved.

In order to avoid misunderstandings in the future, the secretary was required to insert in the minutes that the hourly wage of the assistant librarian should be 25c until further action of the Board.

The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:

After some discussion the Board authorized the Building and Grounds Committee to secure the services of an architect to make a study of the present Library building with a view to making larger use of it than we now are making.

The Book Committee was authorized to purchase seventy-five dollars worth of books during the month of January.

The Librarian's report was received and ordered filed.

The report of the contingen fund was as follows:

Balance Dec. 1, 1925 – 3.23

Fines during December – 9.72

Expenses during December – 6.15

Balance Jan. 5, 1926 – 6.80

The Finance Committee reported the receipt of $1319.80 from the county Treasurer as the West LaFayette Public Library Board's share of the December distribution of taxes.

Upon motion the Janitor's salary was raised to $12.50 to be paid during the winter months. The salary is to be $10.00 per month again after May 1, 1926.

The terms of the present officers of the Library Board having expired, an election was held with the following results:

President, F. A. Burtsfield

Vice Pres., Mrs. E. O. Price

Secretary, Mrs. Ethel B. McQueen

There being no further business the Board adjourned.
