The West Lafayette Library Board met In regular session with all members present. The following bills were read and ordered paid:
Total – 1638.98 The Librarian's report was read & accepted. Fines collected & deposited with city clerk amounted to eight dollars, expenditures $6.27 leaving a balance of $8.87. The Building & Grounds Com. Reported Mr. Immel's contract completed, also a sum of $5.85 for him, in addition to this contract for $1410.00, for extra material & labor for stripping north wall to approximately five ft. making his total bill $1415.85. This committee was instructed to proceed with the improvements, that is having place reset, removing unnecessary additional plumbing. The matter of new [?] was referred to Mr. Cunningham to be reported at a special meeting. For as much as there was sufficient cash in hands to meet present bills it was discussed advisable not to borrow any money for another month & then borrow just as needed to meet expenses. The finance committee was instructed to prepare the annual budget & submit same at next meeting. There being no further business the meeting adjourned. F. A. Burtsfield – Pres. Ethel B.
