The West Lafayette Library board met in regular session with the following members present – Mr. Vawter, Mr. Smith, Mr. Cunningham, Miss Shoemaker & Mrs. McQueen.

The following bills were read, approved & ordered paid:

Total – 227.28

The officers were authorized to borrow $200.00 to meet the present bills.

The Librarian's report showed fines collected $6.20 the balance on hands was $8.34 making a total of $14.54. The amount expended was $6.25 leaving a balance of $8.29.

The Building & Grounds Com. reported the contract for the shelving for the new room awarded to the Poor Lumber Co. for $150.00, the wiring to Brassir Bower Electric Co. for $27.25, [?] selected to be additional and the painting & decorating to M. M. [?] for $191.00.

The need of an assistant librarian was discussed & the president was instructed to confer with the librarian and make a recommendation at the next meeting. There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
