Mrs. Dickey told briefly of the service being rendered patrons of the Library through the State Library & Extension Library of Indiana University. [?] as much as the books loaned by the State University are distributed [?] the W. Lafayette library it was suggested that the borrower be asked to pay the postage on the same.

Fines to the amount of $10.77 were collected – previous balance $11.55 – making a total of $23.64, expenditures $151.10 leaving a balance of $8.54. The Librarian's plan for the observance of librarian's Book week was presented & favorably approved.

Mrs. Dickey called the attention of the Board to the fact that patrons of the Klondyke & Battle [?] Schools as well as numerous other persons residing outside of W. Lafayette were asking to borrow books from the library and some definite understanding concerning these requests should be reached. It was finally moved & carried that a charge of $1.00 per year should be charged each person borrowing books outside the corporation of West Lafayette.

The sec. Was instructed to notify Judge Hennegar that the terms of Mrs. Grace H. Price and Miss Carolyn Shoemaker would expire as members of the W. L. Library Board on Nov. 20 – 1926 and to ask that their vacancies be filled, also notify the members of the City Council that the terms of Mr. J. B. Cunningham & Mr. W. R. Smith would expire Nov. 20 – 1926 and to ask that their vacancies be filled.

The Librarian was authorized to attend the State Library meeting at Indianapolis Dec. 9-10-100 and to arrange for at least one Trustee to attend. The expenses to be paid by the Library.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
