|May 3rd – 1927
The West Lafayette Library board met in regular monthly sessions at the Library, with a ll members present except Dean Shoemaker, who came in later. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Price.
The minutes of the preceding meeting were read and corrected to include a special appropriation for membership in the State Library board.
The following bills were read and ordered paid:
Total – 225.74
The officers were authorized to borrow $250 for 2 moths and to renew a note of $250 which matures this month and pay the interest thereon.
The house committee reported that a new sign was needed for the door, and some new door and window screens were needed and some repairs were needed to the roof. The committee was authorized to make necessary repairs.
Mrs. Dickey reported the contribution by the Carnegie [?]
The Librarian's report was read by Mrs. Dickey. The Librarian reported $11.87 in the fine treasury. The report of last month was read which showed a balance of $2.95.
Motion to renew membership in American Library Association.
Motion to allow Librarian to arrange her vacation with the president at a time to suit her convenience.
