The West Lafayette Library Board met in regular session at the Library; 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6th, with all members present except Dean Shoemaker and Mrs. Price. The vice-president, Mrs. McQueen, presided. The minutes of August 2nd were read and approved. The following bills were allowed and ordered paid:
Total – 239.58 The officers were authorized to borrow $150 to pay outstanding bills. The Librarian's report was read. Mrs. Dickey read also the annual report to the American Library Association. It was reported that a new home was being sought for the D. A. R. Lineage Library, which had been previously kept in the Lafayette Library. It was suggested that a request be made to have it brought to our library. The Board was inclined to look favorable upon this suggestion and elected Mrs. McQueen and Mrs. Dickey to investigate the matter. Mrs. Dickey gave an interesting account of her visits to Chicago libraries during her recent vacation trip. Vice Pres. Mrs. McQueen Sec. L. J. Pierce |
