August 4, 1931 After the approval of the minutes of the previous meeting – bills amounting to $270.82 were allowed. The finance committee presented their proposed budget for the coming year. After carefully considering it – Mr. Burtsfield moved that in view of the fact that there is a surplus of nearly $900, at this time in the library fund, we reduce the levy from seven cents to six cents for the year 1932, with the understanding that at the end of the year, where this surplus has been spent we return to the seven cent levy. Pictures recently taken to be used together with our history of the library were shown to the board. Very good interior and exterior views were taken. Everett B. Vawter – Pres. |
