Bills allowed, amounted to $441.48. A communication from the Legislative Committee of I. L. A. was read regarding new legislation affecting libraries and the features concerning us were discussed. The Pres. approved Mr. Burtsfield to represent this Board to defend our levy if questioned. Other members of the Board are requested to attend the meeting also. It was decided to refer to House Committee – needed repairs to walls – with instructions to do it in the most economical way. Librarian reported that Sat. Sept. 3 was our record day, 300 books having been issued that day. The average for the month was 156. There being no further business meeting adjourned. Carolyn E. Shoemaker – Pres. |
