The library board met November the second with but one member absent.
Bills were checked and approved to the amount of $246.50.
The librarian’s report showed an average daily circulation of 151 books for the twenty-five days the library was open during October. 3785 books were withdrawn. 956 adult non-ifction; 2486 fiction and 353 juvenile. There were 60 new readers registered. 13 new volumes were added and there are now 11198 volumes on the shelves.
The report of the House Committee was made by Mr. Mason. The bill for the shelves and the stair treads amounted to $20.06 and the board approved the payment of it.
Mrs. Dickey reminded the board of National book week.
Mr. Creek authorized the secretary to read a statement to the council and the Circuit Court of the expiration of the terms of Dr. Creek and Miss Cunningham and Mrs. McKee.
