May 6, 1940
The Library Board met at 4:00 p.m. on the sixth day of May. There was present at said meeting: Dr. Creek, Miss Cunningham, Mr. Vawter, Mr. McComb, and Mrs. Martin. Mrs. McKee and Mr. Buschdolt being absent. A quorum being present the following proceedings were had:
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills to the amount of $493.00 were checked and allowed.
Letters announcing the District Library Board meeting at Linden on May 8, 1940 and the National Library Assoication meeting at Cincinnati, Ohio from May 26, to June 1, 1940 were read. Miss Cunningham stated she would attend the District meeting at Linden with Imogene Moore. Dr. Creek moved that Mrs. Dickey be sent to the National Library Assoication meeting. The motion carried.
The house committee reported that repairs of the outside downspout hit by a truck.
The problem of rats was further discussed.
Discussion was had on the matter of papering work which will be commenced this week. Bid of M. N. Coffing in the sum of $132.00, two coats was received. It was decided to obtain additional bids.
