Weekly Programs

Preschool story times: Tuesday & Friday: 10:30 a.m.; Thursdays at 4:15 p.m.
Story times are for children ages 2 and older and their caregivers. No registration or fee. Children’s Activity Room. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lap Sit every Monday at 10:30 and 11:15 a.m. in the Children’s Activity Room. This program is for babies, toddlers and their families or caregivers. Make new friends while listening to simple stories and learn finger plays and songs with Miss Gail, our lap sit leader. No registration or fee.

Wednesdays: Music & Fun with Miss Gail. For children ages 2 and older and their parents or caregivers. Time: 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Place: Walnut Room, second floor of the library. Please bring a towel or a mat. Free; no registration.
Please note: There will be no Music & Fun class on October 10.

Lego Giant Pumpkin

Lego Builders Club
Saturday, October 13th: 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms, 2nd floor

          Children in preschool through grade 6 will have the opportunity to build with the library’s collection of Lego blocks. Children who are ages 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. No fee or registration. Come and build and have fun! Structures will be on display in the cases on the first floor of the library, near the elevator, for 3 weeks following the program.

Reading to the Dogs
Saturday, October 27th: 2 to 3 p.m.
Children’s Activity Room

          The dogs from Therapy Dogs International will be back and eager to listen to children read stories to them! Children may bring favorite books from home or choose books when they arrive at the library.

          This program is for readers, only. Children who are not yet reading may visit the dogs at 3 p.m.
          Please call the library to register by Friday, October 26th.

WLPL Fall Book Fair
October 26th to 31st

          Please support your library by patronizing this event. There will be a large selection of items for sale for people of all ages.  Check the library web page after October 15th for more information about the fair and other events that will occur during the weekend of the book fair.
