FIRST LEGO League Jr. is an elementary STEM program meant to facilitate the building of teamwork, leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills at a young age. Teams of up to six children and two adults work together to create a project inspired by the game's theme (Mission Moon in the 2018-2019 season). Projects from the area will be exhibited and presented to a group of judges at a science fair-like Expo to take place next spring. The more FLL Jr. teams in an area, the bigger and more fun the Expos!

The West Lafayette Public Library is hosting an information session on FIRST LEGO League Jr. on September 16, 2018 from 2:00-3:00 PM in the Elm Room. This information session is meant for educators, parents, scout leaders, or any adult looking to help start or volunteer with a STEM enrichment activity for ages 6 to 10. It is free and open to the public, however we encourage you to RSVP at the link below for purposes of providing enough refreshments and handouts.

Information about FIRST LEGO League Jr. can be found here: https://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/flljr/team-basics

Please RSVP here by Friday, Sept 14.
