Harold Hooper
| Donated to the Library in 2010 in memory of its namesake, the Harold Hooper music collection comprises more than 300 items including vintage guitar sheet music books, classical scores for guitar, and an assortment of music instruction books, CDs and DVDs for electric and acoustic guitars. | ![]() |
The Iva Blagrave Estate
| In 2008, the estate of Iva Blagrave made a substantial donation to the library. The proceeds are still being used to purchase childrens' nonfiction books. In addition, a portion of the donation was invested in the Library Foundation for the purpose of long term funding benefits. |
The Mary Jane Carr Estate
| In 2007, the Library was granted a significant donation from the estate of Mary Jane Carr. The gift was invested with the West Lafayette Public Library Foundation; the interest earnings are used annually to purchase books as requested by the donor. |
William Friday
West Lafayette Public Library Reference Librarian 1983 - 2002
After years of dedicated service, Bill left his considerable book and music collections to the library. Bill was an active member of Friends of Bob and had eclectic taste in music. Bill was an interested in many fields, most notably baseball and beer brewing. Bill was a founding member of the Tippecanoe Homebrewers Circle. |
Bill Cross
| Local artist Bill Cross donated one of his pieces, titled "Urban Blues," to the library. The painting now resides in the first floor computer room. |
