Weekly Programs
Preschool Story & Craft Time
Tuesdays & Fridays: 10:30 a.m.; Thursdays at 4:15 p.m.
Story times are for children ages 2 and older and their families or caregivers.
Location: Children’s Activity Room, 1st floor. Free; no registration

Lap Sit every Monday at 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Location: Children’s Activity Room, 1st floor
This program is for babies, toddlers, and their parents or caregivers. Make new friends while listening to simple stories and learning finger plays and songs with Miss Gail. Free; no registration.

Please note: There will be no lap sit on May 27, as the library will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.

Music & Fun with Miss Gail
Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. For children ages 2 and older and their parents or caregivers. Place: Walnut Room, 2nd floor. Free; no registration. Please bring a towel or mat.

Lego Builders Club
Saturday, May 11, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms, 2nd floor

Children in preschool through grade 6 are invited to build with the library’s large collection of Lego bricks. Children who are 8 & younger must have an adult accompany them. Free; no registration. The children’s creations will be on display in cases near the children’s department entrance and the elevator for three weeks.

WLPL 2019 Summer Reading Program: “A Universe of Stories”

Our summer reading program is for children who are ages 1 through 12. (Kids who are entering 7th grade may participate in the children’s program or the teen program.)
The program is for listeners as well as readers.
Children are not required to have a library card.
Participants in the reading club will receive a bag, a bookmark, and a reading record form. They will collect prizes as they reach the reading goals. Children may participate in the club only one time per summer.
Special programs will be offered on most Wednesdays and Saturdays in June and July. They are all free, but some may require registration. Children who decide not to join the reading club are welcome and encouraged to attend these events.

Register: May 20 to July 14; Read: May 20 to July 31
Collect Prizes: June 3 to August 10

The teen summer reading program will begin on May 20 and end on July 31. Check the teen news on the website and in the young adult area of the library for information about this great program.

The adult summer reading program will begin on June 3 and end on July 28. Check the website and posters in the library for information about this exciting program.
