Weekly Programs
Lap sit for babies and 1 year old children
Mondays at 10:30 and 11:15 a.m.
This program is for babies, toddlers, and their parents or caregivers. Make new friends while listening to very easy stories and learning songs with Miss Gail. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room
Note: There will be lap sit programs on February 17. (West Lafayette schools are closed that day. The library will be open.)
Time for Twos
Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Miss Gail is leading a story time for children who are 2 years old. It includes stories, songs, and a simple craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room
Note: There will be no session on the 4th Thursday of the month (February 27), as the library will not be open until noon on that day.
Music & Fun for children ages 2 and older
Wednesdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Children ages 2 and older and their parents or caregivers are invited to sing and dance with Miss Gail. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free; no registration.
Location: Walnut Room, 2nd floor of the library.
Preschool Story and Crafts for children ages 3 and older
Tuesdays and Fridays: 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.
Story and craft times are for children ages 3 and older and their families or caregivers. Free; no registration. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Valentine’s Day Crafts
Saturday, February 1st: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms
Children of all ages and their families or caregivers are invited to make decorations for Valentine’s Day. Children who are 8 and younger must have an adult stay with them. Free; no registration.
Lego Builders Club
Saturday, February 15th: 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms
Children in preschool through grade 6 are invited to build with the library’s collection of Lego blocks. Children who are 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Free; no registration.
Reading to the Dogs!
Saturday, February 22: 2 to 3 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms
Registration required by February 21.
Therapy dogs and their partners from Therapy Dogs International will be at the library to listen to children read to them. Children may bring books from home or select some at the library. This program is for children ages 4 and older.
Dr. Seuss’s Birthday Celebration
Saturday, February 29th

Time: 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(“Drop-in” for as long as you like.)
Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday @ the library. This event is for children of all ages who enjoy Dr. Seuss’s many stories. There will be a story corner, crafts, games, and a snack.
Free; no registration. Children who are 8 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
