Weekly Programs:
Lap Sit for babies and 1 year old children
Mondays at 10:30 and 11:15 a.m.
This program is for babies, toddlers, and their parents or caregivers. Make new friends while listening to very easy stories and learning songs with Miss Gail. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room.

Time for Twos
Thursdays from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.
Miss Gail is leading a new story time for children who are 2 years old. It includes stories, songs, and a simple craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Free; no registration.
Location: Children’s Activity Room.
Note – There will be no session on January 23, as the library will be not be open until noon.

Music & Fun for children ages 2 and older
Wednesdays at 10:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Children ages 2 and older and their parents or caregivers are invited to sing and dance with Miss Gail. Free; no registration
Location: Walnut Room, 2nd floor of the library

Preschool Story & Crafts for children ages 3 and older
Tuesdays and Fridays at 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Story & craft times are for children ages 3 and older and their families or caregivers. Free; no registration. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Winter Reading Club for Everyone
December 1 – January 31
The Winter Reading Club is returning to the WLPL!
All ages of readers and listeners, infants through adults, are encouraged to register and record their reading activity during December and January. Participation is done fully online through the ReaderZone app or website (use code: wlpl).
Participants are entered to win a $50 Amazon gift card and are also invited to attend the end-of-program party on Saturday, February 8, 2020.

Special Programs for Families

Lego Builders Club
Saturday, January 11th : 2 to 3:30 p.m.
Walnut & Elm Rooms

Children ages 2 through 12 are invited to build with the library’s collection of Lego blocks and Duplo blocks. Children who are 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Come and build and make new friends. No registration or fee.

Events on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: Monday, January 20th
“Reading to the Kids!”
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Children of all ages and their families or caregivers are invited to listen to stories and make a simple craft. Free; no registration. Children age 8 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
Every child age 12 and younger who attends the “Reading to the Kids!” program will receive a free book!

Reading to the Dogs!
Saturday, January 25th: 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

For children ages 4 and older. Dogs from Caring Paws will be waiting and eager to listen to children read stories to them.
Registration required by Friday, January 24th at the children’s desk or by phone. Registration will begin on January 13th.

Valentine’s Day Crafts
Saturday, February 1st: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Children of all ages and their families or caregivers are invited to make cards and decorations for Valentine’s Day. Children who are 8 years old and younger must have an adult stay with them.
Free; no registration
