Be a STEAM Mentor!
Grade range: 9-12 (or homeschool equivalent)
Students currently enrolled in grades 9-12 can become volunteer STEAM Mentors and assist in planning and presenting programs for grades 4-6 with the Teen Librarian and STEAM Library Assistant. Volunteers in this program need to love trying new things, work well on a team, and be able to serve as a positive role model. This is a stepping stone to an opportunity for the STEAM Library Assistant position and looks great on applications.

Time commitment: STEAM Mentors help with an after-school youth program twice per month for about two hours (4 hours or less per month) and attend 2-3 planning sessions each semester. Generous snacks provided.

Mentors are expected to attend at least 50% of all meetings and events.

There will be an orientation session on Monday, Aug 26 at 3:45 in the WLPL Digital Media Lab. Program and future meeting dates will be determined by Sept 1.
