Arab Indy: A Hidden History Film Screening and Panel Discussion

The West Lafayette Public Library has partnered with the Islamic Society of Greater Lafayette to screen Arab Indy: A Hidden History in the Maple and Elm rooms on March 8th, 2023. The film follows the story of Hoosiers exploring their Arab ancestry in Indianapolis.
Join us at WLPL to watch the film and take part in a follow-up panel discussion talking about themes that the film explores such as belonging and finding cultural identity. Please come learn more about one of the many hidden histories of the Hoosier State. The panel discussion is being facilitated by Purdue University’s Dr. Ahmed Idrissi Alami, and both Dr. Khadrah and Samia Alajlouni from the film will take part as well.
This is a free event with no registration required. Baklava and coffee will be provided.
