WFYI/WBAA, in partnership with the West Lafayette Library, invites everyone to an exclusive screening of CARL THE COLLECTOR, perfect for children ages 4-8 (but everyone is welcome!). This exciting new PBS KIDS series is the first to feature central characters on the autism spectrum. It promotes diversity, friendship, and celebrates each individual’s unique strengths.
Meet Carl and His Friends!
- Carl is a warm-hearted, autistic raccoon who loves collecting things and uses his collections to solve problems in his neighborhood. His attention to detail helps him come up with creative ideas others might miss.
- Sheldon, Carl’s best friend, is a caring beaver who helps Carl navigate social situations.
- Lotta is an artistic, autistic fox with sensitivity to loud sounds and textures.
- Nico and Arugula, twin bunny sisters, are trying to define their identities, while Forrest, a hyperactive squirrel, is always ready for adventure!
In two fun-filled episodes, The Plushie Collection/The Bouncy Ball Collection and The Fake Mustache Collection/The Lint Dinosaur Collection, Carl and his friends learn what makes each of them special.
Why You Should Attend:
