Preserving West Lafayette Spaces: A History of the Historic Preservation Committee in our Community

May 31, 2023 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Please join us in the Elm room on May 31st to hear Erin Easter, the current Director of Development for the city of West Lafayette, talk about the history of the city’s Historic Preservation Committee and its implications on planning, growth, and development in West Lafayette.

The West Lafayette Historic Preservation Commission was formed in 2011. The Commission’s mission is to designate local historic districts and serve as a helpful resource in preserving West Lafayette’s rich history, dating back to 1855.

This is a free, public talk that is co-sponsored by Historic Preservation Committee for the city of West Lafayette.  Doors will open at 5:45 PM.  This event will also be livestreamed on the Library’s Facebook page.  A brief Q & A will follow.
