Mission

“The purpose for which the Foundation is organized is to promote, aid and encourage Library purposes, activities, and endeavors of every kind and description for the West Lafayette Public Library.”

Giving

Donations to the West Lafayette Public Library Foundation immediately impact the programs, services and collections of the Library and are invested in the Library’s sustainability for future generations of Library users in our community.

  • Memorial gifts can be made to the Foundation in honor of treasured members of family, friends, community
  • End of year donations can be made to the Foundation for the annual fund which supports the Library’s collection building and programs through matching grant and special requests
  • Donations to the Foundation can be earmarked to one of our special project funds: children and youth, music and the arts, outreach services, periodicals/magazines

Projects

We are committed to financially supporting the Library in their efforts to serve our community of readers through dynamic programs and innovative services. By providing funding for the Library’s major goals and aspirations, we can help ensure its continued growth. The Library Foundation has given support for:

  • programs in partnership with other community organizations
  • outreach services for all ages–from preschool visits to senior living communities
  • resource sharing as an active member of Evergreen Indiana, a consortium of over 120 public libraries sharing books, music and ideas
  • STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics) programming and collections, including the Creativity Lab and Library of Things
