Creativity Lab

What is the Creativity Lab?

The Creativity Lab is an art and creative space for individual or group exploration. Library users can drop in to work on their projects anytime the library is open. Sign into the room with staff at the 1st floor desk. Larger projects may request a room reservation.

You must be age 13 and older to utilize the lab alone (12 and younger are welcome with adult supervision). Users are responsible for following all room use guidelines. These are posted below and on the doors to the room.

The Creativity Lab and many Library of Things items are made possible thanks to the generosity of Jean Sullivan.

Room Use

  • Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
  • Clean your work area. Messy areas left behind may prohibit future use.

  • Vacate room by 15 minutes prior to close.
  • Alert staff immediately of any problems with equipment or supplies.
  • Equipment from the Library of Things collection is available for use with a library card.
  • Check the Large Meeting Rooms Calendar online for room reservations and closures.
