Teen Volunteer Opportunities

Earn service hours, gain work experience, and have fun volunteering at West Lafayette Public Library in the Teen department! As a volunteer you might keep our Teen area sparkling and organized, help recommend books to other readers, assist with programs, or be artistic. The time commitment can be as little as 2 hours each month up to 2 hours per week, depending on library needs and your schedule. Volunteers must be currently enrolled in 7th – 12th grade (or homeschool equivalent)

Volunteer expectations:

  • Be on time for your scheduled volunteer shifts
  • Communicate about any absences
  • Be willing to work together with other volunteers
  • Feel empowered to learn and try new things
  • Be committed to improving the library
